Sage Bionetworks and Stephen Friend have recently been profiled in Science magazine and in the Seattle Times Sunday magazine.  Jocelyn Kaiser’s Science article reviews the history of the Sage Bionetworks initiative and has a good summary of many of the pilot projects that are underway. There are comments from many of the leaders in genomics research and open science. Maureen O’Hagan’s Seattle Times magazine cover story talks about the Sage Bionetworks mission from the perspective of patients and includes information on clinical research collaborations that are in progress at the Seattle Children’s Hospital and at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
